Previous Award Winners

2014

After a careful selection process, from nearly 30 nominations, three projects were commended and one project was awarded the Trevelyan Prize ( a new feature to be awarded annually to a project that has achieved the finest quality in terms of conservation / restoration). One project was awarded the Society’s plaque as the winner for 2014. The certificates and the plaque were presented by the Mayor of St Albans City and District, Councillor Salih Gaygusuz.

Awarded the Civic Society’s Plaque 2014 – ODYSSEY CINEMA

2013

Four projects were commended and received certificates: Westminster Lodge Leisure Centre; Cadoxton Place, Avenue Road; The Skin Shop, Chequer Street; and St Columba’s College. One project, primary school provision with linked reception and administrative facilities at Samuel Ryder Academy was awarded the Society’s plaque as the winner for 2013. The certificates of commendation and the plaque was presented by the Mayor of St Albans City and District, Councillor Geoff Harrison
