Heritage Open Days - Sunday 12 September 2010

Desperately seeking Arthur Melbourne-Cooper

For some years, t
he Society has contributed an original and diverting walk as an event for Heritage Open Days.

This year, we are celebrating this St Albans-based UK film pioneer.
He has been very sadly-neglected, and we hope to make amends by showing you the areas around the City where he lived and worked in the early years of the last century.

Meet at the City Station entrance in Ridgmont Road at 14.30 pm for a walk of 90 minutes ending at the Odeon.

The walk is free but, if as we hope, the renovation of the Odeon is going ahead, donations will be invited!

NB This is a repeat of the walk that first took place on 20 June 2010.

St Albans Clock Tower

will be open on the Saturday and Sunday and entry will be free.
