| The Council published a consultation draft brief for the City Centre Opportunity Site in November 2011. The Society is disappointed by the draft brief. The full response is available here. (Nov 2011) The Society has sent its observations on the draft National Planning Policy Framework to the government, and can be read here. We are greatly concerned at the nature of the 'consultation' and far from happy with the document itself. Whilst there is merit in attempting to simplify planning policy, much valuable advice seems to have been needlessly jettisoned, and some very perturbing new presumptions introduced.
